Well I donno about you guys, but unless somthing is repeated to me, i forget things allot. I was wondering if we could get a newsletter going. I was thinking it would be sent out the week before the event. If we get this going I can help in anyway possible. I have a general knowlage of linux and could probally brew up a probram that sends the e-mail to all the people on a list when needed.

There is a way to send mass emails using this board... when it works. The host for the website allowed for sending mass emails as well, but I actually only thought of that right now. People would need to opt into the weekly email system, since I don't want to be clogging up people's inboxes. So if anyone else is interested in weekly newsletters, this can be arranged The news letter would showcase not only what we're doing in the the upcoming week, but and other events around town!

I'm game. I can do style as well, or I can do whatever. It'd be cool if we could actually have a printable version. That way we could e-mail or leave copys for the general public to pick up as well. Let me know what I can do.

And to that note, the newsletter has been started. Anyone wishing to submit an article, send it to me. Just as a warning, it will be reviewed by some or all of the executive, for content, and possible editing. Editing done by the executive will be nothing big, just spelling and grammar to the best of our abilities, and mabye a bit of reduction. And of course it goes without saying that this will be rated PG-13, or something of the like. You catch my drift, right?
This will be a 2 page letter, that will be e-mailed, and available as a hard copy. Right now, it is in word perfect format, but i will e-mail it as both word and word perfect. If another format is needed, let me know.
So come on, start submitting those articles. Anything related to the GEEKsoc., and some stuff that isn't, is welcome.

I'm against this idea, just because everyone else is for it.
